Yoga (free!)
Yoga classes will be organized on the ground at the beginning of the program.
A note from the yoga instructor, Anna Katrovas:
Traveling to a new country and learning about something that you are passionate about is an exciting and fulfilling adventure. However, it may also get overwhelming. An abundance of new stimuli can overwhelm the nervous system. That’s why it’s important to find grounding practices to soothe the nervous system.
Meditation, breathing techniques and yoga are a great way to ground, soothe and energize. Join me after each writing workshop for playful and cozy yoga sessions. We’ll be practicing at the beautiful Vyšehrad parks. It’s a fortification thought to be the first settlement of Prague. It overlooks the whole city from its lush parks. (Don’t worry, for rainy days I also got you covered; we can practice at the workshop venue.)
We’ll start out with mindfulness practice and take that mindfulness into our yoga flow focusing on the correct holding of each posture to get the most out of it. We’ll learn sun and moon salutations and explore breathing practices and mindfulness. We’ll end each class with a guided relaxation. I’m looking forward to practicing with you!

Instructor bio: I’ve been practicing yoga on and off since I was 12 (currently 26). I’ve always been drawn to it, perhaps because of its positive effect on my chronic back pain or the calming effect it has on my overactive mind. My former step mother Krista Carver was a yoga teacher and would take me to different yoga conventions and classes throughout my teens. Thanks to her I attended yoga teacher training workshops with leading figures in the industry such as Gabriel Halpern at the ripe age of 14. I took a year long pelvic floor yoga workshop at 17. I attended classes and workshops sporadically from the age of 18-22. About three years ago I took full responsibility for my yoga journey and made yoga a part of my everyday life. This has done wonders for my body and mind. I got my yoga alliance certified 200 hour yoga teacher license from Yoga4Yogis in the winter of 2022. I taught yoga for the PSP last summer and have gotten great feedback. Currently I’m offering private classes in New Orleans and studying Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy. I’m excited to teach for the PSP again this year!
